Collingwood Care Home is an 80 bed Care Home, built around 1995 on two floors, including a single storey wing. Care Concern Group, (The Employer) required design, & improvement works that would meet current fire regulations and provide modern facilities to provide care services in the heart of London.
Neo Projects undertook the role of Contract Administrator and Clerk of Works on behalf of Care Concern Group under a JCT Minor Works Building Contract with Contractors Design 2016 (MWD 2016) Contract with standard Amendments.
The completed scheme provides 80 fully refurbished, ensuite rooms across two floors and includes six lounge/dining rooms with new kitchenettes, a new, fully fitted sensory room, 3nr new assisted shower/wetrooms, a new hair salon, as well as improved Nurse Stations and back office facilities. Kitchen, laundry areas, and staff facilities have all seen improvements as part of the scheme.
The home has been designed to provide specialist dementia and head injury care facilities. The works included enhancement of fire protection to meet current requirements, improved/secure access and landscaping around the property to provide a safe, secure residential care environment.
Partners on the project include Hunters & Partners who provided Principal Designer/Building Safety Advisor, CDM/Health & Safety and Structural Engineering design support. Design was by Quadrant Design with M&E design and Principal Contractor by ADS Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. The project was handed over 30th March 2026.
