Peaks and Plains Dev Co Ltd, (The Employer) required the design, construction, completion and defects rectification of 7 Nr houses and bungalows and all associated external works and services at the land off Warren Close, Knutsford. The site neighbours residential dwellings. The scheme is intended to cater for residents of all ages.
Neo Projects undertook the role of Employer’s Agent on behalf of Peaks and Plains Dev Co Ltd for this development under a JCT Design and Build 2016 form of contract with standard Amendments.
The scheme comprised of 100% affordable housing delivering a mix of shared ownership and affordable rent units. Each home has a useable garden space including a bike shed and an assigned parking space which includes the installation of EV Chargers. The area of grass previously forming a horseshoe feature within the road layout was re-seeded to create a low-maintenance finish. Generous landscaping and planting throughout the site further enhanced the overall aesthetic. Sustainability was central to the design approach, with the scheme achieving high levels of energy efficiency to help minimise running costs for residents and reduce the risk of fuel poverty. In support of this, each home was equipped with ground source heat pump technology and photovoltaic panels.
Partners on the project include RJD Associates acting as Principal Designer, Bowker Sadler acting as Building Regulations Principal Designer and Davies Partnership acting as M&E Consultant.
The scheme was completed and handed over to Peaks and Plains Dev Co Ltd in February 2025.
