Priory CC72 Limited, (The Employer) required the construction of a new 73 bed care home in Yarnton, Oxfordshire.
The home is designed to accommodate nursing and specialist dementia care.
The scheme offers high quality accommodation with all bedrooms containing luxury ensuite bathrooms. The home includes a high spec cinema, hair dressers, private dining room and café bistro.
Neo Projects provided Project Manager, Cost Manager and Employer’s Agent Services. The scheme was procured via a negotiated tender utilising a JCT Design and Build Form of Contract.
Partners on the project include Vestar Architecture Limited acting as the Architect, Lawrence Baker acting as Principal Contractor, Betton Consulting Limited acting as M&E Engineer, LBI Design acting as Interior Designer.
The project included the demolition of the former dated home to provide a luxury care home equipped with state of the art technologies and bespoke fixtures and fittings.
The project was located at the end of a residential cul-de-sac and so ensuring a high standard of local resident liaison was essential to project success.
The scheme faced programme challenges but Neo’s detailed approach to reporting ensured that the client was kept informed of progress and the anticipated completion dates ensuring any costs included were kept to a minimum and that the CQC registration process ran as smooth as possible.
