Priory CC41 Limited, (The Employer) required the design, construction, completion and defects rectification of an 80-bed care home and all associated external works and services at the land off Owlsnest, Pembury.
The site neighbours’ are a garden centre and hospital.
Neo Projects is undertaking the role of Employer’s Agent on behalf of Priory CC41 Limited for this development under a JCT Design and Build 2016 form of contract with Special Conditions and amendments.
The scheme comprises of 80 bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms. The home features many large open plan lounges and dining spaces along with a number of activity/function spaces for residents to take advantage of such as a cinema room, hair and nail salon, café, sensory room, external terraces and extensive private gardens.
The scheme is due to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accreditation with the BRE.
Partners on the project include RJD Associates acting as Principal Designer, Haris Irwin Architects as Architect, Betton Consulting acting as M&E Consultant and BREEAM Consultant, ARC Consulting Engineers as the Structural and Civil Engineer and LBI as Interior Designer. The scheme is due to be completed and handed over to Priory CC41 Limited in August 2027.
The site has experienced ecological challenges, not least dormice and Neo have been instrumental in working with the consultant team to resolve all issues to enable site works to commence.
